The shot was taken at 400 mm 5.6 and perhaps 1/400.
As for the lens it is sharp and has a vey useful range for wildlife.The only drawback is it is slow to focus in low light and hunts.But in good light it is excellent.The VR really works.
I dont think you will be disappointed with the lens.
