About these plants are somewhat rare in my area...as i was hiking one morn...i saw this plant and thought.."who the hell sprayed that thistle with silver paint"..once i was close i realized it was natural..the brilliant red center bloom was great...those are not spider webs around the spines...it just loooks like it...all the blooms were coverd like this
