You?re right Marinos - this image of the gentle giant is a lot about the skin caked textures which ones see much better in the original.
I also love the presentation ? the scale we see the picture serves the picture perfectly.

i think the brightness is ideal in the original, it gives off a wider variety of variations in brown which i find fascinating

there is always a dignity in your animal shots I appreciate ? your delight and respect toward the beasts obvious in the fine pictures you take.
I know you look at images carefully George and I thank you for looking at mine - I always appreciate your measured comments.

Antonio--Thanks. The sun was quite bright, and I think the original is fairly accurate. But--Taste is taste; so what do you think of this version?

I have one almost identical from the zoo last week which I discarded for Usefilm; it seems to bright at my eyes but I love dark shot in general so take this opinion just like mine :)
