Hey Den, while I am not an expert, I do believe this is a Dickcissel (Spiza americana). I did some cruising on the web after I took this shot and compared my shot and I think that is what we have here. As always, thanks for the comments! Regards, Bret
Hi Maluisa, to be honest with you, this pic was taken earlier in the spring before I really started experimenting with DOF, exposure, etc.. It was taken in AUTO mode since I was moving along in my car on back roads, snapping shots as the opportunity came up. Maybe in this case it blurred a little more in the back ground because the car might have been slightly moving, don't know how for sure but the camera did the work for me here. thanks for the comments, regards Bret

Great composition, colors and details... Excellend DOF!!!! Another question... Do you blured the background in PS? I have never managed to have the background blury with my S5000...
