Hi Warren, also live and work in NYC. I like this image a great deal. Reminds me of Helen Levitt and Walker Evans. But, it has a strong presence of its own. The frames being tilted, give it a great sense of dynamic depth. Including the chalk drawing saves it from being to stilted.
There are also many other interesting things in your portfolio. You seem to have talent for using silhouetted figures as graphic elements. Your red pepper is very good as well.

Hi Rebecca, Yes, this was a PS creation. I copied the chalk drawing into a new layer in the second photo. In the new layer I used the rectangle marquee tool to select the part of the drawing I wanted in the frame. Then via the menu bar Edit>Transform>Scale, pulled on the corners of the chalk drawing to make it the right size. Via the menu bar Edit>Transform>Rotate to get the right angle. And finally the move tool to get it in the right spot in the frame. Any layer can be turned "on" or "off" via the layers palette?this let me see just the drawing for better adjustment. I had to tinker with it to get the right size, but it worked.

So you put the chalk drawing inside this frame in PS? Very creative idea! I had to look a second to realize what you'd done.
