About I have been (under the suggestion of CCA admissions) trying to expand my portfolio with more shots that have multiple points of interest, or just generally draw the eye in for longer than my previous work. As in... more than just "being pretty"

This is one of my first attempts at trying to capture this.

for a first attempt, this is excellent. i love the movement that the clouds bring to the shot and well as the colors on the side of the factory. the railroad tracks really move the picture, i think, and they are successful at balancing the picture. great job again!

I was hit by a train about 10 years ago. This shot reminds me of that night. Well done!

It's amazing what is lurking in the shadows Geoff. Thanks for the laugh. It brightened up the end of a very fraught week. Regards John

Haha... um... yes
That last post of mine showed up as that half-naked woman, due to some internal bug of Usefilm...

This is the picture that was meant to show up

Thanks for the suggestion John. It was a bit dark to begin with, so dodging turns out a little bit thin.
I think I should learn how to combine multiple exposures.

I lightened up the tracks themselves near the bottom a bit, and I birghtened up the foreground on the left a wee bit.... thanks

An interesting image with lotsto hold the attention. Maybe just a bit more exposure in the foreground rails would improve the read of the image from the bottom left corner. Regards John

If this is your first attempt, I look forward to the rest. Marvellous shot, with a very atmospheric feel to it.

Excellent! The red glow and the lights reflecting on the metal building, the old building and the tracks, all give the impression of the seedier side of town, a place where anything can happen. Lovely details. Very well done.

Has a feel of a movie set, the mobsters are going to show up, or possibly Arnold is going to materialize. If it was b&w maybee even film noir.
