Hi,
You were right about the magenta fog. I was using a magenta filter with Fuji Velvia film.

The color and the fog are amazing
It seemed to me however, as if the fog had a really magenta tone to it
I just played around for a second in photoshop, adding a wee bit of yellow and red to the leaves, adding blue to the center, and desaturating the center to bring more attention to the trees...
