Hi Katleen, after reading your explanation, I think this picture can have a great place indeed, in a serie, together with the other pictures you took from your home.
The picture of my dog, is taken to show how I experience my home, how it makes me feel. I didn't use black and white for this, because my home is al joyful and colourful place. It's maybe hard to understand, because you've never seen my home. But when you see it, you would understand the meaning of this this picture. I'm realy an animal lover, my home is filled with pets... I've also photographed my mother, father, sister,.. on a similar way. I love this picture because it will always remind me at "my home"...
Hi Katleen, I am going to try to comment on just about every picture you post, and be completely honest about it. I've also switched to English, since this is more useful for the other visitors of Usefilm, but if you feel more confident in Dutch, please feel free to use dutch. Can you tell me the story behind this picture? What are you trying to show? What is the feeling, the idea, the story that you try to tell with it? I've been looking at it for about 30 minutes now, yet I don't really see something behind the registration of the dogs paws and his toy. Perhaps that's it, a mere registration, no meaning behind it. Perhaps not. Does a picture need to have a meaning behind it? I like the leading lines of the dogs front legs. I like the comparison of the colors of his toy and his tongue. Yet, the overal picture does not really move me... so, what's the story?
