Testen! Herzliche Grüss ins schöne Köln, Gustav

Surprising is the quality of your work in this shot.. beautiful, clean and perfect... although you always do stunning compositions..lighting, dof, framing, a remarcable and well presentede sample of a good capture about a small garden flower. Cheers, Jorg! Carmem

There is no difference, except you can put the object closer in front of your lens, so it can appear bigger on film, showing more of the small details than on an ordinary normal lens picture. f.i that blue spot in reality is about 1-2mm only in the natural floewer!

Well, Merete, an extension ring or extension tube you can put (in increments) between your lens and your camera. By moving the lens away from the plane of the film/sensor you get a magnified picture and you can get closer to your object which does the same, thus here I combined two methods macro lens plus rings for macro photograpy.

I do not have the slightest idea, because it comes out of a my wife Inga's "surprise" sowing into a variety of flower pots in our Garden/deck. It looks to me very similar to a Mimulus, a Monkey flower, that you find in the US, but this is not based on any sound basis, just superfilcial similarity. regards Jorg
