Hey Mike...this was taken in early afternoon light..yeah...guess I got lucky with the lack of tourists..heh...but as you know sometimes one can shoot a roll of 36 and have only 2 good shots...so mind you there were tourists...I had the photo faerie on my shoulder but only for a moment.

awesome capture. what time of day did you go? i played with some of those cats when i was there ove rthe summer, poor guys. nice that you were able to get a shot w/o tons of people packed in. i went once in may and it was decent, but then in aug it was horrible. i got 1 or 2 fun shots of the colosseum in my portfolio, but havn't gotten around to processing the rest from the summer.
great lighting and tones. the dof works well in this picture.

Cool! I'd never seen a cat that could camaflouge as a ROCK! Pretty neat textures and judicious use of minimal depth of field.
