About	near my village,on the west end of mountain Lapithas there is the ancient acropolis of AIPY,a place mentioned in Homer's ILIAD. it belonged to the kingdom of Pylos,king of which was NESTOR. My nephew Elias had never been there before; one late afternoon last week i took him and climbed together to the top of the "strong-built Aipy". It was exciting for him to walk among the excavation sites and the ruins of the ancient walls and listen to stories about the place..when we got back he told everyone that we spoke to king Nestor himself :-)
