About Just thought I'd frighten a few of us Brits by putting a spare couple of Euros up here.

See, they are nothing to be afraid of - though no sign of Elisabeth on there.

Another venture into the world of closeup shots - a 4* diopter on this one.

Hi Rafi,

I can imagine a live grenade is something VERY intimidating at any age, never mind 17. I've used a few shotguns for sport and you can feel the power in those, but grenades are a different level.

The wole area of europe and integration into the Euro currency is a huge political hot potato in the UK. People are getting more and more polarised in their views to the point that some want to witdraw all together - the UK Independance Party being the the embodiment of it.

All very Xenophobic in my eyes. I'm not convinced that we should be "in" the Euro, but we shouldn't be afraid and run away either.

Your concept came through quite clearly in Youe "Xenophobia", Ade. To be afraid of COINS? I had a similar experience in a quite different atmpsphere, when at age 17 I first held a hand-granade in my hand. I told to myself: "To be afraid of holding THIS?".
Being on the receiving end of that hand-granade was another matter.
Thanks for your comment on my "Passage in Pest".
Regards,
Rafi

I've no idea where the title came from - was about 11:45 when I posted it, just before bed, so not thinking straight! I guess there are not many photos starting with an "X" - apart form XXX ones of course.

I did some freshly washed radish in Macro - but they are a bit boring - just red, no texture or features to speak of. I put a red pepper here....

http://www.ephotozine.co.uk/gallery/showlargepic.cfm?photoid=109145

which came out better, though I'm not convinced I for the composition that exciting.

I missed all the lightening last night. Tried hard - set the tripod facing leeds and set it to 30 second exposures with the shutter button stuck down (on the cable release it lets you do that).

Think I need more practice though. Just don't get the storms in Leeds though. Used to get loads in Clitheroe thank's to Pendle.

Any "storm" tips? Apart from avoid being struck - not be such a bright "spark" to do that!

Steady on Ade ... don't want you Euro-nating over Usefilm now ;-)
Great macro though
