About taken in a cemetary near beachside of Daytona Beach. Used a 28-200 zoom lens out all the way to 200mm. Yup I was about 30 feet away taking this hand held. :)

Thank you. Yea I love the K1000. When I first got it off of ebay, I had never used an SLR, but I knew the basic functions. But not to well at first heh, but I quickly learned to use the internal meter on the inside of the viewfinder and how to realize when it was lying to me heh. This camera was heavy at first for me. I wasn't used to the shutter and the level advance at all. Now sometimes I forget I even have the camera in my hands, I'm so used to the weight. I was fortunate enough to get a model that was still made with metal, since in the 80's (I think) they switched to a plastic material where it used to be metal.

I will soon venture into a DSLR when I get that extra money saved up. I never really expected to be where I'm at when I started out. My friend I meet down here opened my eyes to photography and I'm glad she did. I hope to now take photography classes this winter. :)

Very, very nice bw image. Great lighting and DOF. Don't you love the K1000? I don't have one one of those, but a friend does. I do have old yashicas, and a sears K500 that is similiar. The old tanks are hard to beat. It took me a while to get used to the idea of digital after using these. Keep up the good work. You do very well for someone just starting out.
