About Both the ferns and the pitcher were my grandmothers. We have all taken some of the sprouts from these ferns and they seem to do well whereever we plant them. This is studio light...just pacticing

this is a beautifully worked out picture... light, colors and tones are just perfect. The composition is a bit too centered for my liking though...

Although I don?t like centered pictures.. the shadows have added a special effect in this image.
congrats,Megan!
Very well done.

Thanks for responding Hugh. I'm so touched that my words were able to help you through something. Another example of how we are right were we are supposed to be. I'm glad you've chosen to go on with your work. It may seem like nothing is being accomplished but if you look at it on a micro scale, you are making a difference in certain individuals lives. You may not be able to single handedly solve homelessness but your presence will alter one life at a time. Keep on it...you're needed.

Best regards,
megan

Megan, I am so sorry for not replying sooner to your comment on my image 'Subway Blues', but I have come to a point where I am up against a wall with no help from the local authorities not even the recognition that there is a homeless crisis in London.
I am so hurt that all my work seems to have been in vain and that those that I care for have been abandoned by the society in which they exist as if they were nothing more than ghosts.
I almost gave up and was toying with the idea of just calling it a day and then I saw your comment.
you are right I am where I am supposed to be and I will fight harder for those who can't because if I don't who will?

Heirlooms, this is what it is all about the land (the foliage) and its waters (The carafe) for without them there can be no life.

Nice colours and well composed

very nice still life with good colors and light, a bit too much centered in my opinion

No need to practice - I think that you have mastered it! The photo is in fact very simple, but it stands out from the rest of today's posts. As insignificant as it is, your signature block is also very "elegant".
