About I was trying to photograph the lady against the purple flower when the ant came in and starting arguing. I assumed they argued over an aphid. The ants farm them and the ladies eat them. This image is actually a composite of two in an effort to increase DOF.

I missed this one previously - great shot and info. The ants will actually atack any other insect that do the plant lice harm. Excellent natural history shot. Great macro work!

THIS IS A VERY GOOD MACRO MARC. COLOR AND SHARPNESS THE MAXX. QUESTION; you changed from canon g3 to eos 300 d......what is the biggest difference accept a bigger censor???? Less grain?

Awesome!

I don't own a macro but I think I should get one. I don't know if I would photograph insects or not. Maybe not, but there are many things that a macro can shoot.. many.

Cheers

Welcome to a UF, Professor Mark Plonsky! If I am not wrong I have seen your great photo work on PN.
No doubt you have achieved macro photography.
This is one of those hundereds macros of yours.

You have captured not only photograph, but magical diolouge between two insects.

Regard,
'Surya'

Great photo, I have never seen a bug that close in a picture, the ladybug almost seems fake. Anyways, great picture and excellent colors.

Special as usual mark. Very interesting as we now see the interaction of life at the macro level. No need for e to comment on the quality as you have established yourself there.

But no the burniing question, are you liking the new Canon and have you had enuff rain !!!
