About I had to make a last minute trip from Farmington to Gallup in the middle of the hottest day of the year. Traffic was halted while I was adjacent to this landmark. The heat waves so visible to the eye weren't captured in the exposure. While this is not an especially good photograph, setting it up helped me let my temper cool off. Shot from a tripod.

This place look so remote. Is far away? I think maybe heat make focus not too sharp.

I can actually see the heat waves -- the picture is blurry right above the ground. Nice shot anyway! Never been to NM, but perhaps I'll get there someday...

Bring on the lemonade!!! Very beautiful capture. Guess if I had to be stuck in the heat somewhere, this wouldn't be such a bad place...
