Altur,
Not bad for such a short lens. Try taking a few shots at different phases. The moon gets more shadow detail then.

Hello Robert! Thanks for your comment too. Since you ask for the same details about the settings as Hugo I won't write it again... and concerning the "masterpiece", I really don't know, it was just a try, maybe not a good why... but even so, I thank you for your words. :-)

Hello Hugo! Thanks for your comment. Yes, there is some noise on this photo, but I'm afraid a part of it's from a bit too much "unsharp mask" in PS. The setting of the camera was (I hope it's the right settings, since I changed the name of the file and I had a few more photos taken that evening): exposure time = 1/15, F-number = 16, ISO 100, Focal length = 300 mm. As about the lense, it's a Canon 70-300/4,5-5,6 DO IS USM (I just got it and I'm trying to learn how to use it... it seems to be a very good lense - as much as an amateur like me can say ;-)). Thanks again :-)

hi alex.. a nice one.. this one is another type of shot that I love.. only I don't understood if this one is a little part of the moon or the "ring" is a strong effects of the shrapness!
I believe but that small moon scythe is one... and. you know why.. why the "dark face" is looked at as... and this is a large one masterpiece... I have tried many times (I I love astronomy) but they are not never successful... even some information on "aperture" and "Expsure" cheers roby

Hi Alex, Very well exposed, only the digital zoom creates a kind of "noisy" image. Excellent details, though. I've been "shooting at the moon" recently too, but don't think I can match this quality.... Keep on trying, though...;o) What camera settings did you use?
Great shot!
Cheers,
hugo
