About	I tried this with a horizontal crop and someone suggested the vertical. What do you think? This could have been sharper if I had brought my tri-pod. Hand-held at 1/30th sec at f/11, ISO 200.

This is very nice even though you did not bring your tripod. The details are good enough for me. This reminds me of fireworks bursting open.

Chuck, this is such a beautiful and interesting flower! You did well - it really bursts. Fabulous DOF - but have to agree on the bottom flower distracting the eye.
Overall though definitely a great, great image.

I like the crop, it's a very well composed with a strong diagonal... The only slight distraction is the other flower in the corner which draws the eye... Very well done though...
