The closeness and expression are unbeatable here. I think that the image good be improved in a couple of ways, though. The biggest thing is the lighting. It's very harsh and that's creating unflattering shadows on the faces of your subjects. It's also a bit gray on my monitor-it doesn't have a good tonal range which is so important in b/w. Lastly, it could use some overall sharpening to compensate for being slightly out of focus. For me, this shot has a lot of potential...joyful mood, nice close crop and very appealing in spite of the technical flaws.
