Taken one rainy day at the garden of Heian Jingu Shrine, Kyoto Japan.
I hesitated whether to crop the top branches because of purple fringing, eventually I decided to keep them. (I think that unless one reads all this technical stuff in the media about purple fringe and so on, it will not bother you as much...).
Wow, this is great. I've never taken a satisfying photograph of one of these trees! If this had been my photograph I would be happy. Couldn't agree more about the purple fringing :)
