This is quite a wonderful shot. I like the original image but the re-crop lokks good too, though I wouldn't have darkened it so much.

alright... you may hate me for this, but i'll take a shot at it anyway. i'm an abstract freak... i love them. but the way this shot is shown isn't very abstract to me. as a nature shot, i like it, but as an abstract shot there's too much there for me. especially the underbrush... too much of it. so... instead of trying to describe the crop and the additives that i think would make this image a bit more abstract i just decided to do it myself. i cropped and added a darker tonage in photoshop via the duotone mode.

cool image - can't tell if it's real or a reflextion -- the makings of good abstract -- keep 'm guessing -- hey I'll be in CA for a couple of weeks in a few so I can shoot the old haunts again...again great shot.K
