Spent over 3 hours watching this otter family. The next posts will introduce mum and the 10 week old young pups. In my observations Dad seemed to play a big role in looking after the young, lifting them over obstacles, ensuring they had food to eat and boxing their ears if they came out of thier den to often. A bit like a modern day dad. Mum, well she just seemed to run around making alot of noise.
Where are you Les?, The Ardnamurchan Peninsula? This is tremendous.Those paws! I went to Scotland a few years ago and searched but could not find one of these guys. Hurry hurry, more, more. Such deliberation in this photo. The eyes and that sleek long shape all lends such pointedness... errr... to its pointing ummm...
