GORGEOUS!! Same flower as the purple ones? (think so) Love the vibrant colors here, spectacular sharpness and clarity. I like how you also showed a portion of another flower on each side of the central one. So, nice composition, once again. Love the background, the blurred greens and a few buds.
I'm 'browsing' your portfolio and I sure see a lot of really nice images!!
Nice job, Lori :)

Hi Willem, I can't change the crop because that is what I got ... that is the full picture. Yes, I know the flower is incomplete, but so far it has not bothered anybody - or at least, it hasn't bothered anybody enough to mention it. IMO, the overwhelming strong colours balances out the imperfections. Thanks once again for taking the time to critique my images. Linn

Linn, nice photo with excellent focus. Unfortunately you cut off the flower at the top. How about changing the cropping?

Hi Linn thanks for replying. I am a female. In my portfolio there's there is a submission called "Greeny me" that's my portrait elaborated in PS The real photo was also added to it in one of my comments but it went lost during the changes of the UF site. Anyway, if you're curious, check "Greeny me", it will give you a pretty good idea of who I am. I'll post another photo of me soon BTW, I love it when you write comments in South African language. It reminds me of a good friend I had during my Teacher's training. He was from Johannesburg and we all loved the way he spoke Dutch mixed with S.A words. P.S. Linn, I still have the Alfa shots I promised to take at our local Alfa dealer. If you'd like to have them, let me know, ok? - Groetjes, Emgy

Thank you for the raving compliments You're right Emgy ... they do close the petals at night. I drove past this patch of daisies early Sunday morning and could see they were all closed up, huddling the petals together, waiting for the warming sun rays. Stunning flowers, such a delight to photograph. Off topic ... can I ask you a personal question? Are you male or female ... I can't figure out by your name and Robert and I are in disagreement :-)) Please solve the argument Linn

I know this type of daisies, they are very popular here and they grow in gardens at the end of the spring and in summer. Their orange/yellow colours are always very rich and vibrant but they tend to close their petals late in the evening, which I think is a shame, In this photo of yours, they look wonderful. You captured them in perfect light and they look as if they're glowing. Superb composition, excellent focus and DOF. Absolutely perfect Linn! Regards - Emgy
