thanks for the comment and the recommendation. I've done the cropping on the printed image. I'm in Limerick/Clare area by the way. I've seen your photos already and find some of them to be spectacular. for a fella who claims to know nothing you've definitely got the most important element of a photographer -- a good eye! Love those colors and the graceful swans. Beautifuly captured. I would have cropped the top shore line off.
Hi Daithi, I live in Kilmanam,Dublin. Where abouts are you? Great to find a usefilm friend in Ireland. It was too lonely for such a long time !!!.

Super photo Daithí, if the camera had been pointing a little lower to get the leads swan's reflection and lose the land it would be fantastic. Though if I was holding the camera I probably would have scared them both away !!!

Hey, thanks for the complements and the advice on this image. I thought about cropping it before posting it actually but reckoned in the end I'd leave well enough alone! I've attached a cropped version of it here and must say I'm pleased!!! Thanks again for the advice Den and others.

Very good composition, and a very good atmosphere. The blues are a bit too harsh, but I like the softness and details in the swans. Well done!

Daithi - You do love swans, don't you? This is a lovely shot with the swans positioned just right. The colouring is great but if I may make one suggestion - crop out the shoreline at the top and it would then make a wonderful portait worthy of hanging on a wall. Just my humble opinion. Let's see more swan shots.
