another thing you could do with this shot to get passed the bud in the forground, would be to crop just the tip of it. Then your eye will be drawn more to the flower first. I also love the color combinations and saturation

I like flower shots and this is good. But my eye was drawn to the larger bud first and it was out of focus. The background is great and the flower if nice. Maybe strive for a little more DOF.
