Jon, I think I'll try this with those dried Daffodils. I never thought to suspend my roses and light them from the side like you did. It makes all the difference. I think it will work very well on thinner petaled flowers like Daffodils.
I shouldn't even tell you this, but when I tried scanning flowers, I even closed the top of the scanner on them. My wife wasn't too pleased at that :) Andre

hi,Jon ...this is great! i think i will try to suspend what i scan next as gives a clearer focus judging from yours...thanks for commenting on my scanner art and sending me here!...love the lighting/tones/shadows/DOF...so glad someone else likes to experiment and not closed to photography having to be just one way...regards,gayle
