Thank you for the fast response! I do have PhotoShop, the full edition as well as Elements. I love it... in this photo I took the sats down to 0 then I brought back only the color in the bowl which was the metal. It almost looks all B&W untill you see the glare... I was hoping that would give it away. Thank you again, Patrick. Aimee'

Howdy Aimee... Yes it is just me on my bio, and i have a few more pics of me in my portfolio.
I am not a brutal commentator, really. And defitely not a teacher. (i have no patience) and if I were a teacher of photography... Hmmm.. I don't know. Some people here think i am a teacher of Pornography... :-P
All I would suggest, to start, is for you to buy a flash that you can swivel and bounce off the ceiling or walls. That provides much better results since there are less shadows and no flash glare on the bowl like on this picture in particular...
After that, you will realize that lighting is what photography is all about. Then learn Photoshop or something similar. Photoshop Elements is cheap and has 80% the tools that PS has.
I don't have to wish u luck. U are lucky enought to have a beautiful family and the greatest hobby on earth.

Hey there Mr. P!
That sounds like I'm addressing a high school teacher...LOL But by the looks of your portfolio I would hope not, unless you taught photography. :) Your work is what it's all about... adrenaline! I do need a hobby... but I also need to learn so I can take my hobby further. The quality of your photos are what I am trying to achieve, through trial and error for now. I would love to hear more of your opinions as I need brutal honesty. By the way... is the pic in your bio of you?

With 4 rugrats at home, u need a hobby. Photography is a great escape and it is a fullfilling pleasure when u can capture moments like this one.

you captured a moment of fun time perfectly. the only thing I find distracting is the glare in the bowl. but other than that, it's beautiful. cherish it forever.
