Amazing light and so beautiful composition! Really such wonderful and perfect photo, I love it! The golden light is really so beautiful! I might be wrong, but what if you would crop a little bit on top to get rid of the white part there? It might add a stronger feeling of being inside this golden atmosphere?

This is a fantastic shot. I agree with cropping a little more of sky out..But magnificent color! The title seems very appropriate. Are you from Va originally? There is some very beautiful land here. I should be movong back home ( to Louisiana ) next year. I plan on taking as many memories as I can :) Thank you so much for the kind comments on mine.

Thanks for the response. With minor enhancements the picture becomes active and somewhat dramatic thus bosting the emotional appeal. Key item to retain, in this case, is the vivid color at the vanishing point of the river.. Luther

Gheorghe,
This was a particularly beautiful sunset which surprised me, because the day itself was rather cold and dull. You never know what nature will serve up. Thanks for the comments.

Thank you for your comments. Randy, I agree the sky is blown out and will try cropping a little more of it. The contrast of this scene exceeded the dynamic range of my camera. Thanks.
Luther, great suggestion on increasing the contrast and sharpness of the water and sand bar. I did that at home (similar to your post) and it made a big difference.
Regards, Lou

Good color.. I would suggest a bit more post processing to emphasize the river with sandbar in the forground, the rapids leading to the vanishing point (of the river). Contrast, USM (unsharp mask tools) were used in the attached example.. The vivid color remains the same...

Pretty scene, and really has nice copper tones. The sky is a bit too bright, and I think it would help to crop it at top just above the tree that leans over the water.......Randy
