If you're using the Marquee tool to select the crop, you probably have the Constrained Aspect Ratio style selected. Change it to normal, and you'll be able to change the crop size independently in each direction.

Yep, Tim, Stukken beter! Wat ik in zo'n geval doe is ook iets van de bovenkant of onderkant afhalen, zodat je ongeveer een conguente afmeting overhoudt. (In andere woorden, het formaat van de foto relatief gelijk houden) In dit geval zou ik ook iets van de bovenkant afhalen, zie hier wat ik bedoel:

A question, I have a problem whit my cropping devise in PS; normaly I could crop any size I wanted but now I can only crop A4. How can I get the old form back? I mean when you can also change the cropping size in horizontal and vertical way, not just diagonally.

Ha Tim, uitstekende belichting, en een mooi ongeforceerd / natuurlijk ogend portret. De compositie vind ik een tikkeltje te gecentreerd; ik denk, dat de foto sterker uit de verf zou komen, als de jongen iets meer rechts gepositioneerd zou zijn....
