I am assuming that the texture came from the scanner and while that would not generally be a good thing, I think it fits perfectly here. Maybe I'm wrong about the origin, but it gives it a raw look that is very appropriate for the subject. Composition is very good too.

Forgive me Matti for the re-post but I forgot to say why I liked this image,

?Net,? to me reminds me of the world and all the people who live in it, each of us have walls around us (fences as such!) to protect us from harm or from things we wish not to see or be effected by.
Your image shows many fences although close together separated as each and every one of us are from the next and how some groups of fences can again fence themselves from other groups.
