A repost of image "id=24588" minus the dead blue trees. Many saw them as a distraction, thinking them a person in blue jeans, so I am reposting with a PS cloned out version. Better?
Like most good photographs, this goes beyond reality, it captures a feeling. My favorite art period is the impressionists, and this shot feels like a Monet. I like the ambiguity of the waterline, the dreamy blend of color, light, water, earth.
Unfortunately John, I didn't. I thought that the vertical worked so much better with the height of the trees and the reflection. Wish I would have taken one, just to see the difference, but the vert. is nice on the print, as I don;t have to scroll up and down to look at it! *grin* Thanks for the comment!
I like this version a little better than the original post as I did find the blue jean trees a bit distracting. I find the 640 pixel vertical format a little hard to judge as I have to scroll up and down to view the whole picture. Don't suppose you shot a horizontal of this, did you?
Hi Kim, i actually hadn't been distracted by the blueness of the trees before, but now that you have cloned them out, I do like this better. An already beautiful image improved upon. If you wanted to leave them in, perhaps isolating the tree trunks and color correcting to a whiter tone would work too - if you are more skilled than I am that is at ps :)
