Been there, done that! This photo certainly brings back the memories. Hope I didn't look quite so depressed, though. Nice capture, Roger. Looks as if you had to work pretty hard with PS to bring it up to this standard... well worth it, I'd say.

Aloha, Roger... I am not quite sure how I came across your portfolio, but I'm sure glad that I did, as it is filled with so much talent and incredible candid portraits and lots of stuff I need to look closer at, so I have added you to my friend's list... This is a terrific street shot of this kid - a great capture. Sure, a tad more room up top would be nice, but candids don't always permit, when shooting from the hip, so to speak. I do notice a bit of a halo around the side and lower brim of the hat - wondering if this is just due to compression for the web or what, but not a biggie in light of the overall portrait, and easily corrected if it is in the original... Great stuff, your work. Mahalo, GP.
