A really beautiful and emotional shot... love it... whether I knew or not that it was a gravestone - it doesn't matter, I understood the title as the stone in itself is dead, and the ivy alive... well done,

Ah yes, the title: While it's not apparent from the image, the stone part of the shot is actually a gravestone...so it was the idea of this little plant struggling to grow out from underneath that made me take the photograph...hence the title! :)

While I don't really see the title, the image has definitly an emotional appeal to me. Of course it helps that I've done black and white for years and only indulge myself in colors now that I have the freedom of digital doka.. But still. A very nice shot, well composed en well done!
