About I took this image at the Muskogee Air Show. The aircraft is a P51D Mustang that saw comabt during WWII in the European theater. I took this image with the intention of honoring the old warbird and all of the American veterans of that war.

To hear the whine of the supercharger and the roar of the engine is truly music to my ears. A retired General from Oklahoma City owns this particular bird named "Gunfighter II". I agree that the Mustang in its final evolutions is probably the best prop driven fighter in the American armed services. I just recently finished reading "Woodbine: Red Leader" by William Loving, a retired airforce general who flew Spitfires and P51D's in the Italian theater during WWII. Thanks for the kind critique.

That plane is IMO the most highly-evolved WWII prop fighter, and perhaps even up to the present day. Your love for these flying works of art is so evident. I've built models of almost all the WWI & WWII combat planes since grade school, and it's always been a pleasure to see them.
