Brandon, I think choosing green worked out better than if you would have picked a different color. Perhaps try shooting at a different angle so you can produce more contrast between the architecture of the bridge and the darkness of the trees. This way you would not have to highlight. I like the composition you chose. However, I don't know if I would have done the Photoshop highlighting. When I first looked at it it seemed akward because not all the beams come off as green (some are too dark), so it's not like the subject is clearly colorized on a B&W background. Still, a good shot.
