If you're growing to like images of only parts of things or people, you're growing as an artist (at least that's what I think). Not all photography should be representative, not all of it should be readily identifiable. Sometimes a piece is more interesting than the whole.
I like your photograph. I think the lighting could be better. It's a bit on the flat side and given that there isn't much contrast within the image, it fails to pop and capture the viewer's attention. I like the composition. I like the bracelets on the hand, I like the dark background. Good attempt.
