About Thanks for the kind comments on the other shot. This one shows more of this woman's strength and courage, as well as her beauty, in my opinion. (If you haven't seen the first photo, I should say again that in the intervening time after this portrait was made, she has fortunately made a strong recovery from her treatments, and is now in good health, though continuing her healing process.)

What moves me about this portrait is not all about the strength but the eloquence and vulnerability also that makes it so very beautiful.

Both portraits of this lovely woman are very meaningful to me also David. My oldest daughter is a cancer survivor,Leukemia. She is so inspiring to me, coping with all her treatment at ages 3 and 4 like a little trooper.
Thank you for sharing these images of courage and hope.

Glad to hear that she's in good healt - the photo is great. Thanks for Your comment on that Maledives-shot. I agree with You that the sky doesn't work but it would have been to boring to post the original photo.

I see you take also very beatuful shots, David, and it's really incoranging to see such an image (most of all among the thousand nude (sexy...?) women-portrait that in the last time are destroying Usefilm).
You had a great respect.

Thanks for sharing this and for telling something of the lady's story!
Clearly a very brave woman indeed and so good to hear that she is making a good recovery.
Good work David!
Regards, Chris,

She is beautiful, in both pictures. I hope she fully recovers. My mother had breast cancer about 5 years ago, she is well now. She has beautiful eyes, your model I mean.

Ursula

PS - Mariana was not the victim, Friedrich Nietzche was :))) It was a "philosophy students murder mystery".

Always remembered this one. Seems to me it took an enormous amount of courage to make the picture as well.
