David,Good job in a tough lighting situation. I would crop the lower portion of the frame just at the bottom of the bright beam of light on the left and half of the dark area above the door. This would serve 2 purposes. 1st the rectangular format would excentuate the barn door and 2nd it would eliminate much of the detailless shadow area. Lastly, the model would work better if she were dressed in something more farmlike, as in jeans and a plaid shirt.

I cropped it down some. I kept one of the light patches in the corner, as it seemed important to me. I also applied a curve to the image in areas other than the door, which I thought looked about right as it was.

I tried cropping the foreground away. That looked better already. It let's the viewer focus more on the subject. The colours in the light area are a bit flat, maybe if you've got some experience with that try some curves.

I would crop some of the foreground, but the exposure is good. It shows a small person moving a large heavy door. I tells a little story. I like it.

I feel this picture lacks something .... maybe because it has no pupose . The frame is so large and yet there is nothing going on. Maybe she could be leading in a horse . I guess I can't quit put my finger on it either . Even as I worte that I am not sure I was right . I do find the light to be wonderful and the exposer right on . Keep shooting!

a nice idea, good eyeY, but IMO you could better crop some in the foreground dark area - nice work anyway- regards - marco
