From the thumbnail this looked a little dark, but upon opening it... WOW! You really have the eye for shots such as these... interesting perspective, great colours, and lots to look at. I think I can almost see where the ND filter runs through the barrel of hay, but it's so slight that it's not a problem. I wonder if this is ever an issue with shots, though, and if it can be compansated for? Seeing this makes me almost miss living in Calgary and driving out to the Rockies. *grin*
I am surprised at the lack of views and comments... everything here works so well together.
Hi Dave, Another underappreciated image here I think! This is like a painting! The colours are great, particularly (in my view) the blue of the mountains which counters the warmth of the rest of the image beautifully. Interestingly, while this image loaded I was presented with a great panorama - you might like to look at this crop... If you crop horizontally right through the center of the closest haystack, for me, the result has bags of impact, maximising the effect of the colours and dropping some of the closest foreground, especially the bare earth in the bottom right which is the only detractor I think. Cheers Chris
