Patrick, let me give you 10/10 for this one. I hope no offense on either side. Let me explain you how I take pictures of the models. As I am a camera collector I go to these markets to buy or trade equipments. In a corner usually there is a small spot with a couple of girls whose presence is intended to let the photographers try out cameras before they buy them. The setting is very poorly lit, only two lamps casually placed. The background is always the same and always awful. There is a whole bunch of big guys -so called photographers- who rudely address to the girls and myself being the only woman. They push me away to make room for themselves, they step on me and on my cameras and sadly, they tell the girls to move to the background which results in horrible shadows. If I use a Tungsten film ( or WB setting for digital ) it's impossible to use the flash as much as it is impossible to mount the camera on tripod and 99% of the times the photos come out of focus ( shutter time no more than 1/15 hand-held....can you believe it?? ) If I use regular 400 ISO film with flash, under those lights I obtain a horrid yellow cast. So,I try to do my best...often compromizing and most of the time discarding hundreds of photos because of the models'position and cheap lights. Yes,I consider myself a purist in the meaning that I prefer photos as they come and above all I'm no PS wizard! Usually just a slight retouch in order to make up for the scanner's flaws. But the friends on my list started to suggest that I tried B/W or other color manipulation,so I complied...how well I don't know! I never meant to attack your skills,as I can tell a damn good photographer like you are from the people who just do photo-graphisms which have little to do with photography and if you talk exposure with them they don't even know what a " stop " means..... If I got a little bit crossed was because sometimes people criticize just for the fun of it. Which,of course wasn't your case as I do realize that I blew off the highlights. Sorry if I've been rude....let's be friends, instead! I wish you all the best for Chrismas and for your new studio which is FANTASTIC !!! Greetings, Antonella

I love this picture! The various shades of blue are lovely - finally, after looking at them for a while. At first I didn't get them, cuz they're not really in the same family, some blues are warmer and darker and some a little more 'green' at least to my eyes, but then it sorted itself out and I got into it.
She's so tranquil. Makes me wish I was a kid again. Do you have any others of mystical children like this one?
-Bianca ps. You think I'm "sick in a good way?" - LOL! Thanks!

She is so lovely. You should have used some other warm color overall for the title. But still a wonderful image. well done.
