About I considered cropping this at the end of the gray rock at the bottom, but decided to leave it as taken (no corrections) to solicit suggestions for cropping.

Christian... thanks for correcting my spelling!!!! I am very bad about that. The leaves bothered me too, but try as I might, I could not correct them with out changing the overal color tone and thus the mood. I opted for the original.
Again, thanks!

Nice color, composition & perspective. Good mood you captured.

I like the original because it suggests the idea that a ruin is something distant. The main composition lines lead to it very well and there is a very strong atmosphere prevailing. My only negative point would be concerning some sun reflections on the leaves that are a bit blown out, but I know they are extremely difficult to cut down ; a polarizer could help in this case. Oh, well, it's insignificant really.
BTW, the name of the ruins is Tulum.

Karen, wonderful scene, what fabulously coloured water.
If you were to crop I think what you had in mind would be more than adequate.

I think that Blakely's crop would look very nice but it would take away from the shape of the picture itself. This image looks very nice as a long rectangular photograph. The length leads way back to that building. Croping the bottom would take that effect away a lot. With that said I don't think that I would crop this image. Wonderful surf and the storm coming in is great.

Hello, Karen! I would be tempted to crop this photo at the bottom edge of the lower bushes to get that extra patch of rock on the lower left out of the photo, and let it end w/ the bushes. Other than that, the storm rolling in, the surf washing up, I like it!!
