I love the pose, composition and thought behind this shot but it really is just too dark. Heavily diffused flash would have given some detail back without swamping the nicely detailed sky (though I still think the whole frame could have done with two more stops) and still conveyed the message you are trying to get across. I looked at it in PS but a combination of the low res required by the site and the depth of the shadow is just too much to get away from. I've attached a quickly fiddled with version. Please be aware that this was done straight onto the low res image, with a lazy channel mask so excuse the dodgy edges and noisy patina...it only took me five mins (I do this for a living, so please don't judge me on this!!!!). If I had the full res file and a spare hour I recon I could recover this quite nicely!
