Jerker, I have begun a painting of your "old barn". I love the play of the dark foreground against the light background of the fields, and the pop of the pink flowers against the dark agrd wood. My suggestion would be to maybe step bback a few feet, so more of the undergrowth, wildflowers, and such can be seen and a greater play between light and dark, and colors to make your eye travel around the photograph. I can't wait to finishe the painting, if you like I will send to you...To me, it holds and emotional quality for me that I feel you would understand...connie
What a great barn, things sure have changed recently to how they look. I love the growth around it, really makes it look lonely and abandoned but the colours liven it up, nice contrast.
Hello Jerker, this is my kind of shot, I love old barns. How would this look with the center moved to the left, imo the cultivated fields to the right look too modern for this image, just a thought, regards, Jim.
