How did I miss this one? Great job, Karen! Superb macro with rich colours and great detail! Excellent work of the background, too, which sets off the flower beautiful. If I had one suggestion to add to the others it would be to clone (or, preferably, 'heal') away the slight imperfections in the petal. But that's just 'cause I'm an absolute perfectionist!!! Keep up the good work and thanks for your consistent encouragement. Kind regards, Chris.

Nice PS work on bg and the frame, the flower looks great and is exposed perfectly. Where the edge of the flower has a dark fringe it is easy to remove in PS either by contracting the selection by a pixel or 2 or by the defringe or remove black/white matte, go to PS help and choose selections, then remove fringe pixels from a selection, I hope it helps you - Richard.

thanks Don - I will try. I am fairly inexperienced with PS and arent quite sure how to achieve the drop shadow; but I will experiment. Thanks for all the comments from everyone. This is something new for me; as I am trying to expand my photographic horizons. Appreciate everyone's time to comment and lend advice.

This is wonderful work. Your border is outstanding. Just one more suggestion. Put a thin line around the picture and then a drop shadow to set it off. Great work. Don.

Excellent macro. Are there missing petals? The gaps between them actually add interest to this photo. They make the composition less static.

Lovely rich colours Karen, looks like the flower is wearing a floral crown. The colour of the background and the yellow frame makes me think of it being a National Geographic. Like where frame dips behind the flower but it could use a little cleaning up.
