I like the contrast between the carriage and the jeep.

Kelly, Considering you didn't have a tripod or a flash, I would say this is a fine shot. Also, if you crop out the jeep I think it would, like you said, crown the horse a bit too much. I think you managed quite well. Good shot! Regards, ~Luke

this is a very nice image..well exposed and the motion blur of the horse works very well.. the lamp post is very much needed as a part of the composition.. i could have done without the car since it conflicts in terms of era against the carriage and the architecture of the building, but in street photography...you cant be too picky...you make the best of what you have...

This is indeed a very nice night shot considerig that it was taken without a tripod or a flash. I like the composition, the lighting and the beautiful colors.

This is one of my favorite photos. The guy in black actually used to be the guy in black-and-red flame silk shirt; I thought it best to digitally repair his lack of fashion sense. I've tried the crop a dozen times, but I rather like the St. Peter streetsign and the flare from the streetlamp. Maybe I could paint the Jeep something less blinding? Seafoam green, maybe?

I like this one a lot. THere are aspects of the frame one could nit-pick over...the guy in black seems to clash with the horse, and you're right about the roof, the white jeep and lightpost on the right edge - they don't add anything to the frame. But there are so many other good things about this picture that outweigh those insignificant details. Like the shutter speed and color.
