I like the hair style! As others have said, the sharpness is a little off. I have noticed that my telephoto adaptor always shows a similar fuzzyness (different cemara -- Canon G3) no matter what I do. Like here, it is not horrendous, just not as sharp as the camera's own lense. Could the same the thing here. Also, nice idea having him off to the side like that.

I see you're making good use of that telelens. I did some swan shots a few months back, but I didn't get as close a shot as this.
It seems the sharp point is on the black area just above the beak. Maybe it would have been better to have it on the eye, but nevertheless, the photo is still sharp enough to appreciate the feather texture on its head and neck.
I like the interaction of the colours - the grey-blue background, the bright orange beak and the white feathers. The composition is (at least to me) unusual, but that is a good thing.

Interesting composition, Stuart. I think the swan could be a little sharper, though. It might just be in the jpeg compression, though.
