The two leaves seem to come right off the "paper." I like the grain. It adds to the tranquil, summer-like mood it conveys. And it looks like this lens can do more if pressed further. I wonder how it would interpret color.

Very well captured Eric. Love the DOF and composition as the others have commented.

I'd float on air if I took this photograph. What an amazing capture! The light, framing, light, light, and light are perfect.

Thanks again all!

JT, so far I love the lens. I took some shots with bw, but more in color a few days ago. Get them back tomorrow and will be examining them very cosely for sharpness. But all in all, I am very impressed with it.

Lass, wow! Thank you. Means a lot.

Eric,

Using PS to crop and adjust the image is perfectly acceptable and is expected. I was refering to some tint or other manipulation. The quality of this image, stands on it's own without "help".

Terry is correct...this is one of, if not your best work to date.

Hmm, very nice closeup. Never thought of doing closeups in B&W, have to give it a try.
How do you like that lens? It sounds nice in the catalogue.

Thanks for the comments. They are much appreciated. Steve, I must admit that I did use PS to crop a little. Otherwise, straight from the negs. Alexander, this is straight from black & white film. No channels, no filter.

And thanks to T!

I like the picture very much, did you use any filters or it's all channel mixer work in photoshop?

As you know, this is right up my alley, realize the film isnt this grainy in reality but it just works so well here, in combination with the shallow dof, great composition, and moodyish light I'd say this is your best image to date.

Well done, Eric. Composition is very nice, as is the toning. Wonderful DOF.

Nice to see that you didn't ruin this by adding PS tricks.
