Beautiful still Kevin. The light and color are soft and effective, it almost looks like a fine oil painting. This would look great in my kitchen...hint,hint. ;-)

Now, I've seen your whole portfolio and have really enjoyed myself. Since the other night when I so blatantly used your portrait to have a bit o fun, I decided to go see what you were all about. Love it. I totally agree with Sylvia, if I just knew how to express myself in such an elegant manner, what she said is exactly what I would like to have said. :)

I like it. It might just be my monitor, which I think is a bit flat, but I'd like to see the high values just a tad brighter to create more of a feeling of light.

Try Kodak Portra 160 NC for a nice pastel palette.

Thanks all, this pic. came out nearly as i imagined it, a rare event. Artie, thanks for the tip I will attempt to do it again perhaps with a really fast film to encourage muted, pastel colours.

nicely done Still..placement of garlic to left is weighing frame to the left........Garlic placement a bit to the right to clear cup would have been more effective....lighting is very nice but a little back fill to the stein would have added to the image..nice use of real estate and tones.....overall very well done and good job....monochromatic tones very effective......

A very subtle image with soft muted colours which suit the subject matter. A beautiful still life. Kevin.
