Thanks so much for your comment David. Your guess is as good as mine for the front page, maybe they are all on holiday :-). I see that a lot of the ones showing have also been deleted when you try to click on them. My friend doesn't want to tell me what happened to all his photo's there one day gone the next.

hi Dan, a really super composition, this iconic structure has so much information going on it is really hard to photograph but you have done a brilliant job with balance and light.....I note that you are a donor to 'uf' and wonder if you know why the front page is continually populated with old work by non donors? kind regards, david.

Another perspective and an even better result in my eyes. I love the details you have captured here and the amazing clarity. The tones again are very natural looking and the 'stars' decorate the scene beautifully. This IS your genre my dear Dan. Cheers to you my friend......Ray

Thanks James for your lovely detailed analysis. No filters used here, maybe I had a UV filter, this shot was taken with a Canon G6 point and shoot.

Yes I just happened to be strolling around and saw this by complete suprise, my biggest problem was no tripod, so had to use somones fence and some other articles to level the camera, lucky for the swivel LCD on the Canon G6 series point and shoot

Lovely to see that bridge again. I walked the bridge all the way in 1986. I even have an old slide of it with car dating back 1986 . Xcellent shot !

Hi Dan!, Fantastic shot, where do I start? Great exposure, colour , clarity. Love the stars of the lights, (did you use a filter? Just curious). There is so much going on in the shot, I find myself seeing new details of interest everytime I look at the image. The dark sky is a great backdrop to the subjects. All in all a great shot! Congrats.
