Yup, but they have no problem spotting you. Saw a few just this in the same type of setting yesterday, they were eating tree shrubs. Good eye, nice exposure, and great group winter setting.

Another one with the same good timing and good details, Dave! The exposure balance looks better to me than on the previous one. They stand out very well between the snow and the many trees and branches.
Perhaps the very neer trees out of focus on the right and on top left are a bit too much, but this is a small problem than can be easily corrected.
